How does Kundalini Yoga differ from other forms of yoga?
The emphasis in Kundalini Yoga is on the flow of the kriya - the specific sequence of exercises and meditations (these may include posture, breath, mantra, focus, and/or movement).
Postures are often held for a substantial period of time, to the point where the mind gives way to the body’s wisdom. The body is a self-regulating system; it knows how to heal itself and performs appropriately in the absence of the ego’s false interventions.
The synergistic combination of postures, mantras, and meditations combines to put positive pressure on the subconscious mind and allow it to clear limiting beliefs and patterns that are otherwise inaccessible. The mental relief that we feel after a yoga set is cumulative.

What is Meditation?
Meditation in Kundalini Yoga contains specific, practical tools that carefully and precisely support the mind and guide the body through the use of breath, mantra, mudra, and focus. There is range and variety of meditation techniques in Kundalini Yoga. There are meditations that reduce stress, work on addictions, increase vitality, and clear chakras, to name a few. While there exist many styles and approaches to meditation, what sets this approach to meditation apart is its precision, effectiveness, and practicality.
